Inventory of U.S. greenhouse gas emissions and sinks : 1990-1996
Central to any study of climate change is the development of an emission inventory that identifies and quantifies a country's primary sources and sinks of greenhouse gases (GHGs). This inventory adheres to both (1) a comprehensive and detailed methodology for estimating sources and sinks of greenhouse gases, and (2) a common, consistent mechanism that enables all signatory countries to the United Nations' Framework Convention on Climate Change (FCCC) to estimate emissions and to compare the relative contribution of different emission sources and greenhouse gases to climate change. Contents: Executive summary -- Introduction -- Energy -- Industrial processes -- Solvent use -- Agriculture -- Land-use change and forestry -- Waste -- References -- Annexes. This document is in PDF format.
