Richter The enigma

A biographical film based on rare interviews, in which Richter reads from entries in his own notebooks and reminiscences with Glenn Gould, Arthur Rubinstein and a number of young musicians and his wife, Nina Dorliac. The film includes archive footage of Richter in concert in Moscow in the 1950s, in collaboration with Benjamin Britten at the Aldeburgh Festival, and with Dietrich Fischer-Dieskau as well as performance extracts of the works by Prokofiev, Rachmaninoff, R. Strauss, Chopin, Liszt, Beethoven, and others.
