Toward reconciling lifestyle through worship and service
Authentic worship becomes praise to God. The act of a love relationship with neighbors is a true response to God's love because in Jesus Christ God has come to reconcile the world to himself. We, the church, call humankind to be reconciled to God and to one another. Corporate services of penitence and reconciliation should be provided for the new life in Christ for anyone even though one is coming from different cultural setting. Shamanism affected Christians may find a challenge in the worship of Reformed Tradition including a confession of sin in their personal lives realizing God's forgiveness through his redemption because of the divine initiative: "God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting humans' sins against them." Thus, building up the Body of Christ - the communal life together - newly emerging Korean-American Presbyterians discover the theological principle of reconciliation with new neighbors, through justice and biblical teachings in the diverse social structures in order for them to be part of a mystical communion, despite the inclement climate of racial hatred and violence in America. At the same time, the act of love must be practiced while the marginality and adhesive assimilation are challenged in the light of the "peace and justice making" injunctions regarding the treatment of inclusivity in word and in deed.
