  • "In the first story, Elisa is the happiest little princess in the world. When her father brings home his evil new bride, she enchants her father, banishes her from the palace, and turns her brothers into swans. In "The beetle", Barty the Beetle is full of guff and bluster. He is insulted as he does not have golden shoes like those the royal war house is getting. He decides to leave the royal stable and go out to the world to prove that he is as important as the royal war house and is worthy of his own golden shoes. Lastly, a good weary soldier is making his way back from years of war. On the way, he meets an old witch who promises him all the gold and silver he can carry if he is able to help her find a tinderbox that is left in an old by her old grandmother years ago. But he must look out for Tiny, Silver and Goldie, three dogs with enormous eyes who are guarding the treasure."
