Meredith Monk: works-in-progress

Meredith Monk performs selections from Songs from the hill (Porch, Wa-lie-oh, Insect, Descending, Silo, Bird code, Prarie ghost, and Jew's harp), Light songs (Click song no. 1, Click song no. 2), Volcano songs (Offering, Boat man, Cry no. 2). Monk then performs songs for piano and voice, namely Gotham lullaby, Travelling from Education of the girlchild, and Madwoman's vision from Book of days. Harry Huff replaces Monk and the piano and the two perform Choosing companions from Atlas, The tale from Education of the girlchild (lyrics in Italian), and New York requiem. After audience applause Monk performs Breath song from Songs from the hill as an encore.
