Burleson family bulletin

Newsletter for the interchange of genealogical data and history of the Burleson (and variant spellings) families who came mainly from England. Some settled Connecticut and the Massachusetts Bay Colony in the 1600s. Some focus is on (but not limited to) descendants of Edward Burleson, an early Puritan settler to Suffield, Connecticut, and descendants of Aaron Burleson (believed to be his brother), who arrived in the Southern States ca. 1726, and settled in North Carolina. In the 1700s, some settled in Cuba, and in New York, North Carolina, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Tennessee, Vermont, and Virginia. During the 1800s, some moved to Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, and Texas. Later descendants also lived in Spain, and in Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Delaware, Idaho, Indiana, Louisiana, Maryland, Michigan, Nebraska, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon, South Dakota, Utah, Washington, Wisconsin, Wyoming, and elsewhere. Some have African American bloodlines. Includes obituaries, and business of the Association. Information is primarily shared genealogies, and extracts, photocopies, and transcriptions from Bible, cemetery inscriptions, census, deeds, land records, letters, marriage records, military records, newspapers, pensions, probates, and other official records.
