- "A series of unused takes for the fire scene which appears in reel 5 of Children of Eve. Opens with the bell ringing in the fire station, firemen sliding down the pole, and horse-drawn equipment being readied for departure. The equipment leaves the station, and proceeds along tree-lined streets. Next shot is of the Madison Canning Company where the windows of the buildings are opened simultaneously by the occupants; smoke, but no flames, pours from the windows. People run down fire escapes, and others (actually dummies) "jump" into nets. Next scene is of a real fire with real people jumping into nets held by the firemen. Final shot shows the ruins left by the fire."
