Results of a three-year (1996 to 1998) limnological study of Takla, Trembleur and Stuart Lakes
Results of a three-year limnological investigation of three oligotrophic, sockeye nursery lakes in the Stuart system of British Columbia are reported. This investigation is part of a study to determine productive capacity and trophic status of the Stuart System lakes (Takla, Trembleur, and Stuart). We sampled a total of 10 locations in main basins of the lakes monthly (May-October) from 1996 to 1998, for physical, chemical and biological variables. Epilimnetic data, summarized for each station and date and seasonal means for each station and whole lake are presented in tables. Temperature profiles and selected seasonal data are shown graphically.
