The Proud rebel

A Southerner on his way north in search of a doctor to cure his boy, who was rendered mute by the shock of seeing his mother killed in the Civil War, finds a new home on an Illinois farm. He learns that violence does not always end after a war is over when she is victimized by a one-armed sheep herder and his two sons.
