Presents details of two geochemical methods recommended for monitoring sediments to detect organic enrichment from particulate wastes from the Bay of Fundy salmon mariculture industry. After a review of previous research on organic enrichment & environmental monitoring, information is presented on field sampling, sub-sampling, redox potential measurement, sulphide measurement, and results of sample treatment and analyses performed in 1998.
