- "This backstage musical was the second vehicle for song and dance duo Marge and Gower Champion, who appeared in a number of highly popular MGM musicals in the early fifties. (The first was 'Everything I Have is Yours' (1952). After the star of an upcoming Broadway production walks out, the producers of the show each favour a different actress to replace her. Dancer/choreographer, Bob Fosse, co-stars as the show's leading man in one of his most substantial pre-directorial roles. Song and dance highlights include 'Challenge Dance', written by Andre Previn and Saul Chaplin, and 'Applause, Applause' written by Ira Gershwin and Burton Lane."@en
