The Keys to the Street, a Novel of Suspense

Lush green by day, darkly sinister by night, Regent's Park hosts an underworld of drug ushers and thugs, of London's homeless and the unseen killer who is impaling them, one by one, on the ornate railings that encircle the park. Theirs is a world light years away from Mary Jago's elegant new home and museum job across the park. Mary, in an uncharacteristic act of self-assertion, has left her abusive boyfriend and, in an act of humanity, has donated her bone marrow to a stranger. She then meets the fragile young man whose life she saved--Leo, flesh of her flesh, bone of her bone, a twin soul--and becomes deeply involved with him. But Mary's boldness has its price. Among the park's shattered hopes and new dreams, something dark and deadly waits for her ... eager to rob her of something more precious than life.

  • "Mary Jago becomes the victim of a deadly hoax when she makes an anonymous donation of bone marrow to a dying man."
  • ""Each of the murdered men was found impaled on the spiked fence around Regent's Park. Except for one, all were street people-like Pharaoh the Key Man-whose real identities had vanished with their descent into the city's underside. The bodies were found near the museum where Mary Jago worked and the mansion where she house-sat during the owners' absence. But quiet, pretty Mary could never have suspected that the threads connecting the dead would soon become tangled around her own simple, ordinary life. Now the abusive relationship Mary Jago recently left, the mysterious man she was about to love, the inheritance suddenly thrust into her hands, and the dog walker who saw something he shouldn't were opening a Pandora's box into Mary's comfortable world. And the lies, sins, and violent acts that spilled out would be entirely unexpected, chilling to the bone ... and suddenly, shockingly deadly."--BOOK COVER."@en
