Nightwatch

On a lonely highway in the Crimea, the President of the United States and those assigned to protect him are assassinated; while on a rushing white water river in the Missouri Ozarks the peace of the natural surroundings is shattered when an attempt is made to eliminate the Vice President. Only the quick, decisive actions of Special Agent Vince Kellogg save the Vice President from sharing the fate of the Commander-in-Chief. Without warning the greatest nation on Earth has been rendered leaderless-put under siege by an enemy operating from within America's sacrosanct halls of power. The future hangs unsteadily in the balance for Agent Kellogg, who must protect Vice President Andrew Montgomery; for Thomas Kellogg of the BATF, who must comb the wild lands in search of his brother and the imperiled V.P. ; and for Commander Brittany Cooper, who high above the Earth, holds the nation's nuclear codes as she stands in the eye of a firestorm of treason, nuclear terror, and death centered on the airborne sentinel.
