The good little Christmas Tree

A poor peasant couple set up a Christmas tree decorated with cookies as a surprise for their children. While the family sleeps, the little tree goes into the woods and exchanges his needles for ornaments until his branches are nearly denuded. St. Nicholas retores his needles as a reward for his unselfishness.
