Rose Marie (Motion picture : 1936)

Originally released as a motion picture in 1954 as a color remake of the Jeanette McDonald and Nelson Eddy operetta. This was the first musical to be filmed in Cinemascope. An irrepressible tomboy is adopted by Sergeant Mike Malone and when he discovers the tomboy is a girl and not a boy, Rose Marie has to give up her outdoor life as a mountie recruit and become a lady.
