Nineteen-year-old Sam Bryson faces a conflict that will test his courage, character and faith. Raised mostly by his grandparents, Sam was made to practise with his pistol every day, except Sunday. Yet Albert Bryson's beloved wife had raised Sam to reject violence. Bryson orders Sam and his cousin, Jack, to hunt down his ranch hand's murderer, Sharkey Kelsall. Sam Bryson has no desire to kill, but soon discovers that when his own life is threatened he must protect himself.
