http://schema.org/description

  • "Basil Blackwood's four-page letter from Barbados was probably sent to his friend, Edward Marsh. He is busy "wading through" the Times, so he is "very versed" in British affairs, and knows everything about the Dundee elections and its "suffragettes." He comments on Baring's play "The gray stocking" and its interpretation on stage, and thinks that Hillaire Belloc's book "On nothing" is admirable. The artist is happy that his friend liked "Cautionary tales," the children's book that he illustrated, which has been "quite fairily successful." He describes the island, where he has learned in his "old age" to play golf and dive, and also how to deal with sharks, should he meet one. This eventuality is illustrated in a drawing on the last page (n.d.)."
