The collection is the result of a three-year grant-funded collaboration between the University of San Francisco and Access Video to collect archival documentation on disability, especially on the disability rights movement and the passage of the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990. The collection includes original video interviews with leaders in the movement as well as documentaries, archival film and news footage, and feature films (including silent films) that include depictions of people with disabilities.
