Thomas Halsey was born 2 January 1592, the fourth son of Robert and Dorothy Halsey. He was living at Naples in 1621 and Lynn, Massachusetts by 1637. "Married 1st, before 1627, Phoebe --. She was murdered by 2 Pequot Indians in 1649. Md. 2d July 25 1660, Ann Johnes, wid. of Edward Johnes."--P. 37. Thomas Halsey died in 1679. His will was proven in New York City. Descendants lived in New York, Connecticut, Ohio, Illinois, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Alabama, Missouri, California and elsewhere.
