The Mounted Rifles participated in relatively few major engagements; among the lesser battles and skirmishes referred to are Deserted House (January 1863), Longstreet's Siege of Suffolk (May 1863), Bottom's Bridge (February 1864), Drewry's Bluff or Fort Darlington (May 1864) and the Darbytown Road (October 1864). Cronin organized the material in two alphabetical sequences by surname. The first group contains information on commissioned officers, the second includes non-commissioned officer and soldiers.
