The Hospitality of God Emerging worship for a missional church
God is hospitable and generous, always inviting, always welcoming and always wanting to draw us in. Yet many people feel that church is no place for them and that Christian communities do not welcome them. Our ageing churches need to be revitalized so that they share God's generous hospitality with everyone. The imaginative worship found in the emerging church movement can inspire us to find new ways of creating communities of love and acceptance. Bishops Mary Gray-Reeves and Michael Perham undertook a pilgrimage of discovery across England and the United States, experiencing the liturgies.
