The writings of the American Philosopher John Dewey contend systematically with metaphysics, epistemology, logic, philosophy education, aesthetics, social problems, and public policy. Given the recent revival of Dewey's legacy, it is surprising that the ramifications of his thought have not been explored in relation to economic theory and the philosophy of economics.
