Clothar the Frank
Having discovered that his parents were murdered by a usurper, Clothar has grown up as a highly skilled warrior and leader. After fighting in the Benwick wars, his mentor Bishop Germanus sends him to Britain on a mission to track down Merlyn, who has promised, on behalf of his young ward Arthur, to build the first Christian church in Britain.
