Lynched

Marshal Ben Tully returns late at night to his home town of Pine City, surprised to find silence pervading the normally buzzing Main Street--until he discovers his deputy, beaten and bloody, lying on his office floor. From the young man, Ben learns that his own wife was raped and murdered, and the assailant was lynched out behind the Marshal's office, despite the deputy's attempts to stop the mov. Suppressing his rage, Ben takes some comfort knowing justice was served. But after a little digging, he soon finds himself in the middle of a conspiracy involving the town's patriarch and a scandal that could rock Pine City.
