Miles electric a different kind of blue

A documentary tracing the long musical career of the legendary trumpeter Miles Davis, from the 1960s to 1991. During that period, he acquired a distinctive music style. The crazy, troubled times of the late 1960s, in the U.S.A., influenced Davis' musical development into something beyond jazz - a kind of blue with electronic effects. It became his signature theme. He learnt from the classical jazz musicians, like Jimi Hendrix, Chick Corea and Carlos Santana; but ended up playing their kind of music in his unique way, according to his own interpretation. Demonstrates his music style, with a close-up of his performance on the electric piano. Includes interviews with Miles, Herbie Hancock, Carlos Santana, Stanley Couch and other great musicians who performed with him during his long career. Their reminicences provide an insight into Davis' personality and his talent which made him a worldwide celebrity. Includes selected archival footage of his performances on stage, highlighting his time at the Isle of Wight Festival, August 1970, and in Tokyo in 1973. Showcases many of Davis' most influential and timeless musical compositions, in albums such as, Miles runs the Voodoo down, Bitches brew and So what.
