Mr. Harris was educated in Bluefield, West Virginia up until 11th grade, when he dropped out and moved to California and went on to study at University of California at Berkeley. He talks about camp activities, Native American tribes and the tribal songs they had to learn, and how the camp influenced his heritage and strengthened his character. He talks about the dances held at the camp, the swimming pool, the first black swimming pool in West Virginia and the money used to refurbish the pool and other areas of the camp.
