  • "Pasado y presente (Past and Present) is a critical essay on the social experience of state terrorism in the country. Estranged journalistic approach, testimonial or withdrawal, reflects on the recent history of Argentina and its consequences in the present. In this direction, building and explores the effects of social memory and modes of inquiry and of know from that experience limit, especially from the dictatorships relationship with society. In a critical key, away from the idealization or nostalgia Hugo Vezzetti reviews the central scenes of the story. Also addresses issues such as the war imaginary construction, the link between political barbarism and degradation of the state, society behavior and function exculpatory theory of the two demons, Argentine concentration camps, the role of family struggles for enlightenment and memory, experience of democracy and forms of recovery of revolutionary militancy. To the extent that this plot does not ends with the completion of the dictatorship, the analysis also extends the impact and consequences of ever more and the Trial of the Juntas, who installed first evidence that the crimes perpetrated from the State were framed in the series of massacres of the twentieth century managed. Faced with the evidence of the collapse of civilization, he argues, is essential to future memory, i.e. the transmission of experience to those who were not part of it."
