"The fourth outing in the popular movie franchise features yet another personnel change as George Clooney dons the mantle of the bat. Joel Schumacher directs for the second time as Batman and Robin (Chris O'Donnell) have to stop the vengeful Mr Freeze (Arnold Schwarzenegger) from taking over Gotham City by using his new ice weapon. To make matters worse, the venomous Poison Ivy (Uma Thurman) decides to join forces with Freeze, so making an almost undefeatable double-whammy of a team. Luckily for the caped crusader and his rebellious ward, they can team up with a new tough and courageous new partner - Batgirl (Alicia Silverstone)."

"Nella futuribile città di Gotham City, Batman, affiancato da un Robin ormai cresciuto e più indipendente, è sempre pronto ad accorrere laddove si presentano situazioni di pericolo. Nella propria, spaziosissima abitazione, quando torna a casa la sera è accolto dal fedele e amatissimo Albert, uomo tuttofare sempre prodigo di consigli e che quasi di nascosto fa ad un certo momento entrare in casa la nipote Barbara. Da lei rimane subito colpito Robin, che infine riesce a farla partecipare alle loro imprese sotto la maschera della Batgirl. Intanto una minaccia incombe: il malvagio Mr. Freeze vuole distruggere la città se non verrà accolta la sua richiesta di mettere tutto ai suoi ordini. Le autorità si rivolgono a Batman, che subito si mette in azione. Tra i suoi avversari si inserisce anche Poison Ivy, che cerca di ingannare il giovane Robin per arrivare a far cadere in trappola Batman. Questi però, sempre muovendosi nella sua doppia identità dell'eroe e del tranquillo cittadino Bruce Wayne, miliardario dedito ad opere filantropiche, riesce, dopo molti affanni, a sconfiggere il malvagio Freeze e a ridare tranquillità a Gotham City."@it
