The adventures of Don Juan

When Don Juan de Marana is caught in a compromising entanglement while dallying in England, he is sent back in disgrace to his native Spain. There he finds the people oppressed beneath a government headed by a weak king who is under the thumb of his ambitious advisor, the evil Duke de Lorca. After proving himself a repentent sinner, Don Juan soon wins the Queen's trust, as well as her heart.
