The report concerns mesometeorological studies of precipitation with particular emphasis on selected rainfall maps from the Uppsala (Sweden) field. Overall, between the first and second reports, this project (Project Pluvius) aims to produce at least a hundred maps of daily and monthly rainfall distributions, especially for 1955-65. This, the second report contains eight monthly maps and 56 daily maps together with appropriate text explaining the method of editing the maps and a discussion of their features and general conclusions to be drawn from them. Especial military relevance is seen in these mesoscale studies, e.g. to tactical mobility operations, missile design and operations, propagation, use of weather radar, and battleground visibility.
