  • "Roads full of apricots: Addressing questions of cultural identity amidst tragic historical circumstances, this film is a very personal recollection of the filmmaker's experience of being displaced from his civil war-torn country to a more universal exploration of memory. Using a female voiceover and archival images, Roads full of apricots is a meditation on history, films, literature, and the inner experience of nostalgia."
  • "Verve: A reflection on folk dancing, whose ancient art form is one of the many ways in which Armenian culture has persevered in the face of national tragedy. Detailing the gentle, understated movements and passions of the dancer, Bezjian excerpts several dances, including a mesmerizing performance by Shakeh Avanessian."
  • "Muron: This film was made in Beirut, Lebanon, 2001, in celebration of the 1700th anniversary of Armenia's adoption of Christianity in 301 A.D. In a tradition that has continued ever since that time, Muron (Chrism) has been prepared every seven years by mixing more than 40 kinds of oils, roots, herbs, and incenses, cooked continuously for 48 hours. The oil is then transferred to special cloth bags for extraction and purification. This process is repeated several times in the next few days. The oil is then transferred to the Cauldron and placed on the altar for 40 days. On the 40th day, during the presence of distinguished guests, including archbishops and priests from various Christian sects, and thousands of Armenians from around the world, the Catholicos blesses the oil and adds the remains of the old Muron into the new. Muron is used for baptisms, consecration of new churches and ordainment of new priests."
