In Singapore's Changi Gaol during World War II, an American corporal lives more comfortably than the other prisoners by shabby dealings with the camp guards. The drama depicts the character destruction brought by the American corporal on the Allied soldiers in a Japanese prison camp in the jungles of Malaya toward the end of World War II.
