Professor Aristide (Rathbone) runs a school for pickpockets and recruits reform school escapee Arlette Lafon (Rogers), who dreams of going legit, and realizes the best way is to marry. After she is caught stealing from a suave Ambassador (Menjou), he asks her to steal the watch of diplomat Pierre La Roche (Jean Pierre Aumont)-- and Arlette falls for her victim.
