Drums without warriors

After an absence of ten years, Sam Colter's home coming to Red Mound, Oklahoma, is tinged by sadness. Many of his childhood friends are gone, and Sam's move to a large spread in Texas had cost him his old sweetheart. And now the discovery of oil on the lands of the Osage Indians has brought death and terror to the area. Sam's closest Indian friends have been found murdered, and federal agents sent to investigate have also turned up dead. Sam's determined to find out for himself who's behind the violence and follows a dangerous trail that leads straight to the town's horse-racing circuit, a high-stakes game dripping with oil money ... and blood.
