- "Videotape testimony of Andreja P., who was born in Pécs, Austro-Hungarian Monarchy in 1912. He recounts his family's move to Zagreb; mobilization when Germany attacked in April 1941; traveling to Sinj and Split; troops deserting when Croatian independence was declared; Split's occupation by Italy; working as a musician; obtaining false papers to bring his parents and sister there; a non-Jewish friend bringing his sister; his parents' arrest by Ustaša en route; using influence to obtain their release; their return to Zagreb; his father's and uncle's deportation to Jasenovac (they were killed); having his mother and aunt moved to Split; establishing a school for Jewish children; assisting partisan units; forming a partisan artistic committee; sailing with his family for Italy after its capitulation; partisan confiscation of their boat in Sutivan; sending his family on; joining the partisans in Split; transfers to Sutivan, then Sumartin; performing in a partisan group; retreating to Baška Voda, Livno, and Jajce; performing for the AVNOJ convention; retreating to Drvar; a major German offensive; retreating to Tičevo; encountering British troops, including Randolph Churchill; transfer to Vis, then Belgrade; working for the Belgrade Opera until 1951; teaching at the music academy; completing his formal education at age forty-eight; retirement in 1980; and Jewish communal activities."
