  • ""I probably do not have time to go to school. I am too extremely busy doing important things at home," Lola says to her older brother, Charlie. But Lola agrees with Charlie that it would be handy to learn to write to Father Christmas, read bedtime stories to an ogre and count biscuits for elephants. Now it's just that Lola's invisible friend is too nervous to go. Suggested level: junior."
  • "Lola is afraid to go to school. It's a challenge for her mom and dad to figure out how to help Lola get over the fear."
  • "Lola is not so sure about school. After all, why would she need to count up higher than ten when she never eats more than ten cookies at a time? And why write letters when you have a telephone? It's up to Lola's big brother, Charlie, to persuade her that school is worthwhile - and that her invisible friend will be welcome, too."
