The kissing bandit
In this musical comedy Frank Sinatra stars as Ricardo, a young Mexican man who travels to California in claim his deceased father's business. Once there he discovers that his father was in fact the notorious 'kissing bandit' and members of his father's old gang press Ricardo into assuming a life of crime. Ricardo meanwhile has fallen for Theresa, the daughter of the governor, who is facing tax troubles. The highlight of this otherwise ordinary production is the exemplary singing of Sinatra in the title role and a deft dance routine by Ricardo Montalban and Cyd Charisse. Filmed in Technicolor with vibrant sets and costumes. Songs include 'Love Is Where You Find It', 'If I Steal A Kiss', 'Siesta', 'What's Wrong With Me?' and 'Tomorrow Means Romance'
