A letter to the practisers, promoters, and learners of navigation : containing a double view of navigation and nautical astronomy, by which all the problems of those branches of practical mathematicks are solv'd only by tabular inspection, in a book lately publish'd entitled, Compendium artis nautic, &c. : the problems are here truly wrought by trigonometry, and compar'd with the said answers by inspection, whereby the great difference in calculation, and the near correspondence of the solutions, evidently demonstrate, that all the propositions useful at sea are with more ease and expedition solv'd by inspection, than by any other method, and as true as any way that is commonly used, and therefore more fit for practice than the methods generally applauded
