Footprints the story of the Greggs of South Carolina : a compilation
John, Joseph, and Hugh Gregg of Ireland immigrated to South Carolina before 1752. John is granted land between the Black and Pee Dee Rivers. He has seven children. The majority of the book is about the descendants of John. Joseph Gregg was born about 1740 and his will is dated in 1824. Joseph married Sarah Atkins. Joseph also had seven children. Very little is known about Hugh Gregg and there is only half a page in the book for him. He is thought to have moved to Pennsylvania after the Revolutionary War.
