Joseph Moses married Mary Henson in 1804 in England. Their son, John Thomas (d. 1885) came to America and eventually settled in Maine and then Grand Manan, New Brunswick. His grandson, Allan Moses (1881- 1953) became a prominent naturalist. Allan was married to Mabel Claire Guptill Kent in 1936.
