"This study reviews the basis of the Pugent Sound Region's economy, and also points to new opportunities for expansion within its natural resource base. Examines the general problem facing the area in its conversion of war-expanded facilities to peaceful uses and, through private enterprise with help from state, county, and municipal governments, the creation and maintenance of employment for all those seeking jobs. Also analyzes Washington's ability to reach distant markets in the states and foreign lands through the production of quality products such as: apples, eggs, lumber, pulp, and canned goods. The area's recreational facilities neglected during the war will again provide enjoyment and relaxation to its people-- all while attracting the tourist dollar."
