The religious artifact is unwittingly brought to Chicago by department-store executive Marshall Seymour who discovers it in his luggage. One day, during an argument, Marshall's son Charlie holds the skull and wishes that he could change places with his father. When Marshall replies that he too would like to switch places, a magical transformation occurs: Charlie changes into Marshall and Marshall changes into Charlie.
