Desperate Measures

Since his son's death from cancer, newspaperman Matt Pittman's life has been in quick decline. He quits the obituary job he was demoted to and prepares his suicide. Then his friend and former boss requests that he prepare one last obituary for an ailing political figure Pittman investigated years earlier. Pittman reluctantly agrees but is soon accused of murdering his subject.
