The Flamingo Kid

Eighteen-year-old Jeffrey Willis, plumber's son from Brooklyn, was to spend a last summer of fun before he started college. That was before his friends invited him to their parents fancy beach club on Long Island. Jeff gets a job as a cabana boy there, and the world of rich coeds, card sharks, and snobs is opened to him, luring him away from his working-class roots in this well-done coming-of-age story.
