"During the past hundred years, a number of distinguished men and women in India have taken a long and difficult path to the faith of Christ. Only after much thought, prayer and experience of life did they at last become Christians. For most of them ancient beliefs and customs, and the wishes of their own family, were against their making the change, yet they felt themselves "gripped by Christ" and decided that they must follow Him. This book studies the conversions of some of these Indian Christians, and suggests lessons that the Church can learn from their experience."
