"Von frühester Kindheit an werden bestimmte Werte, Muster und Vorbilder vermittelt. Lehrende und Lernende nehmen dabei - oft auch unbewusst - Klischees und Stereotypen an, die zu einer Verfestigung von diskriminierenden Geschlechterrollen beitragen. Interessenzuschreibungen sowie Berufs- und Studienwahl sind bei Jugendlichen und jungen Erwachsenen nach wie vor geschlechts- spezifisch sehr unterschiedlich. Vor allem naturwissenschaftliche und technische Disziplinen wie etwa Physik, Informatik und Mechatronik gelten als männlich und werden durch unreflektierte didaktische Methoden reproduziert. Wie wird Geschlecht erlernt und auch wieder verlernt? Was leistet eine gendersensible Didaktik und Pädagogik an Schulen und Universitäten für eine egalitäre Gesellschaft? Auch Sprache trägt als Kommunikationswerkzeug wesentlich zu geschlechtssensibler Wahrnehmung bei. Eine geschlechtergerechte Verwendung spielt in der modernen Pädagogik und in der Unterrichtskommunikation eine wichtige Rolle, da unreflektierter Sprachgebrauch oft geschlechtsstereotype Bilder zementiert und so letztendlich Frauen diskriminiert."
