A young swordsman leaves his home to join the legendary musketeers and seek revenge on the man who killed his parents. His search takes him to Paris where he finds himself in the presence of his beloved musketeers, but instead of heroes, he finds aimless, dishevelled and bitter men. The entire legion of musketeers has been stripped of its commission, and their captain imprisoned for a crime he did not commit.
