The purpose of this study is to examine a document written by the Fédération des communautés francophones et acadiennes du Canada on improving access to French-language health services. The report contains a summary of the main reports on French-language health care as well as a summary of the testimony given during hearings. It then presents a series of recommendations aimed at improving access to French-language health care services. The recommendations deal with the legal bases for health care services in French; networking; training; front-line health care; the role of the federal government; and the mechanisms for intergovernmental co-operation.
