Oltre ad una rilettura critica e accurata di ogni paragrafo (necessaria quando si vuole esprimere in altra lingua un concetto), abbiamo inserito alcune figure nuove e una sezione che si riferisce ai primi risultati di fisica ottenuti con l'acceleratore LHC al CERN. Il numero di esercizi (testo disponibile sul sito Springer) è raddoppiato rispetto alla precedente versione.
