The Denzel Principle is the belief that the perfect man--the epitome of all the things women think Denzel Washington represents--exists off screen, and you can get one for your very own without settling for less: the regular good man need not apply. "The Dizzle," aka Mr. Perfect, is tough but vulnerable, accessible but not transparent, political but not radical, mannish but not macho, sexy but not solicitous, passionate but not hysterical, doting but not docile--and all these things on cue and in proper measure. The Denzel Principle gives up-front advice to women on how to break this cycle, including "Ways to Attract Mr. Right" and "Ten Reasons to Love Ordinary Black Men."
